CIH L/LE-Jetronic - Thermo-Time Switch

Thermo-time switch (brown) from Bosch Classic for Opel CIH engines fitted with L/LE-Jetronic injection. The component controls the blue supplementary injection valve (cold start valve) and connects via a brown connector from the wiring harness. OE/GM number: 1338503 Fits: Opel CIH engines with L/LE-Jetronic injection. Bosch Classic replacement part, slightly longer than the original design. How it works The thermo-time switch controls how long the cold start valve injects extra fuel during a cold start. It switches via a bimetallic strip heated by the engine's temperature — above approx. 35 °C coolant temperature it no longer engages. The switch is also internally heated, so the engine isn't flooded with fuel during repeated start attempts; the heating then breaks the contact. The setting values (switching temperature, max opening time, and power) are stamped on the component and vary between engine variants.
